Yesterday we found the news out that Alexander McQueen’s
creative director, Sarah Burton is to receive and OBE title from Her Majesty –
The Queen. Fashion’s favourite, burton scooped the title for her leadership and
dedication in the fashion industry and I’m guessing clearly the Queen had given
Middleton’s McQueen wedding dress the royal seal of approval!
Sarah Burton was one of three creative directors from the industry
to receive recognition on the powerful impact they have had – others include
Lara Bohinc (below, left) who has creative some master pieces of jewellery & Mulberry’s
main girl, Emma Hill (below, centre) for driving the British brand forward! Other women in the
mainline to receive a title, was Titanic star Kate Winslet (below, right) for helping to
promote the British film Industry in other locations across the world!
